The TRANS Audio Codec Server family with aixtream COMPACT inside is the ideal hardware to support audio transcoding. Part of the aixtream concept is a matrix that allows users to set up processing chains to configure exactly what to do with an incoming signal and what output to generate from it. This is the ideal prerequisite for the ultimate transcoder. Even very specific parameter settings or input/output scenarios can be handled with the TRANS Audio Codec Servers.

Slim - Classic Audio Multi-purpose Transcoder
The SLIM is the ultimate Audio Codec Server choice when it comes to price-performance ratio. It comes in a classic 19” 1RU form factor and allows up to 50 mono, stereo or multichannel programs. It can be delivered with one extension card, to provide I/O for DAB, AES or MADI or transport for ASI. Other I/O are supported via third-party USB audio interfaces.

The REDUNDANT is the premium flag ship of the Audio Codec Server range and is built in an appropriately robust 19” 2 RU form factor with a redundant power supply. It is the most powerful hardware in the ACS lineup, supporting up to 100 mono, stereo and multichannel programs and multiple extension cards for audio and other I/O, such as 16 ch AES, 3 x MADI, ASI, DAB and more. When that is not enough, other I/O can be connected via third-party USB audio interfaces.

The SILENT is the Audio Codec Server option that is both noiseless and powerful, with a 19” 2 RU form factor. Thanks to state-of-the-art heat pipe cooling, this hardware produces no noise at all. Which makes it an excellent choice for studios and similar environments. The SILENT supports up to 100 mono, stereo or multichannel programs. It can carry either one double-size extension card, such as 16 ch AES or 3x MADI, or a single extension card for DAB or ASI. Other I/O are supported via third-party USB audio interfaces.

Mini - Compact Audio Transcoder Box
The MINI is the handy small size, low power consumption choice among Audio Codec Servers. It is small enough to be easily transported but still allows up to 10 mono, stereo or multichannel programs.
While the Mini itself does not come equipped with any classical audio interfaces, you can still use I/O besides AES67 and Ravenna via third-party USB audio interfaces
